Terry is Stoko's resident tensile tester! The mechanical system was built by a previous Co-op. Similar to the KTF project, I designed and implemented the electrical system, backend Arduino programming, and An app during my time at the company. The system is extremely modular, allowing for accurate force measurement over a 500N range at controllable positions and velocities. It has been used to replicate various ASTM engineering testing criteria at a fraction of the cost of contracting with an agency.
